Bigfoot MBC

We had gorgeous weather yesterday. Sorry, Wednesday riders, but the sun was out. MikeK, MikeH, PaulW, Derek, a new rider Daniel and I met up in the Sainsbury's car park. The traffic was quite hefty so we decided to do the cycle path variation up to Selsley common. Selsley common itself was absolutely dry and the view were breath taking. But then the mud fest started. We all did the technical paths with some sliding difficulties. Especially the ascent towards Nympsfield Long Barrow turned out unridable. Daniel, our newbie, did really well. He must have got his bike when he was about my height and has grown since. He is towering over all of us and his bike is seriously small for him. We did not do Uley hill fort but turned back at Frocster Hill. On the way back we met MikeJ who was held back at work and could not make it to the meeting point on time. We needed only lights for the road. When I came home I could clean my bike still in day light. Happy evenings are here again.
