I'm good for July and August and it looks like.

Just had a squiz at the white room for a price estimate and we are looking at around £780 all in for late July to accommodate the most people.  This includes flights from Bristol to Geneva, transfers, lift passes (estimate) on three to four days, breakfast lunch and dinner (except one night), snacks, beer and wine.

Verbier option comes in around £900 ish + booze (beer) + 2 lunches including flights again from Bristol to Geneva with Easy Jet.  Verbier chalet does have a dedicated workshop as a plus side.

Bike Verbier price is CHF 995 which works out to £686.  (from exchange rate 0.6896), I believe.

Bike Village is Euro 695 plus Euro 50 transfers.

I don't fancy Whiteroom as they haven't been running very long and could just be someone renting a chalet!

Anyway, Bike Verbier is my favourite- I am easy on the week.

Me and Maria have been considering a longer trip over the summer holidays, so please do not book dates on our behalf. As I understand it the price will be far cheaper outside school holiday time.

I am more than happy just coming on some of the long weekend trips.

Cheers guys

Thanks for letting us know Timbo.  Yes a few weekend trips are required I believe, a natural riding weekend in Wales anyone?

Anyhow have contacted Bike Verbier to get some info on availability, they are away at the moment but will get back shortly.  They did ask what type of riding we wanted, to which I replied technical with a high percentage of uplift!  Hope this agrees with all interested, which brings me onto the question of who the final attendees might be?

So far I think we have Jason, Janet, Mike P and myself.  Come onboard all and get a post up here soon, with your interest and what riding you require so I can reply with some more details.

Hi Ed, yes I'm interested, just can't make w/b 14 & 21 July.

Happy with 'reasonably' technical, just not crazy black, bouldery all the time Yell

Also interested in more remote, wilderness XC, but happy to go with the flow.

Hi Mike and all.

I have passed on your comments, and I also asked about the possibility of a night out in a mountain hut, so we can link up some lift systems across valleys.  Just out of interest if every one else liked the idea of that.

The reply I had back on the dates inquiry was

During that period we have the following availability;
Weeks commencing 23rd June, 7th, 14th and 21st July and the 11th & 18th August.  The full lift system is operational from the 7th July onwards.

Hi,

Ed and I are going to Les Arcs to do a TrailAddiction backcountry week 8 to 15 September. This should be a bit more remote, using a van/trailer for uplifts rather than the ski lifts on the piste areas. See http://www.trailaddiction.com/…..yweeks.php for details.

This is no bromantic week away for us, so we're happy to have more Bigfoot company if anyone's interested.

The riding is described here http://www.trailaddiction.com/…..php#riding

I don't have a fullface helmet and I won't be doing the really crazy stuff if you're worried it's going to be an entirely testosterone-fuelled painfest. That said it is challenging, but there is a day off part way through the week and, judging by last year's Italy trip, I for one will spend the day relaxing, drinking coffee etc.

I haven't been to Les Arcs before – there are photos and videos on the TrailAddiction site http://www.trailaddiction.com/…..allery.php to remind you there are places where the sky is blue. A few Bigfooters have been there before and rate it.

We've already paid deposits and booked flights Bristol – Geneva. I don't know how many places TA have left on that backcountry week.
