HOTS is a charity mountain bike event unlike any other. Run entirely by volunteers, every penny raised over the weekend goes to local charities. In 2015 Heaven of the South became a Community Interest Company with a core of eight directors.
In 2011 they raised over £4,000 and in 2017 they raised £14,000.
There are two courses – a 75km with approx 5000 feet of climbing, and a 50km with approx 3000 feet of climbing. There are cider stops en route – we wouldn’t want you to get dehydrated, would we?
We have a huge, flat campsite with plentiful showers and toilets. On the Saturday evening there is entertainment. And a bar.
We will be using the Village Hall for the entire weekend, as last year. This means that no matter what the weather is doing, you always have somewhere warm and dry to buy cider. Scrumpy will be available everywhere and is almost compulsory.
