The Dyfi Enduro is a mass start MTB endurance ride around the Dyfi Forest, Wales. The event takes place on the May Day Bank Holiday weekend which this year is a Friday-Saturday-Sunday so for the first time in the event’s 19 year history the Dyfi Enduro will take place on a Saturday (9th May). The event is not a gravity enduro with timed stages, it is a challenging timed trail loop with some descents that wouldn’t be out of place in a gravity enduro.
“Please Note: It’s not a gravity enduro, there are no timed stages, just one timed loop start-finish, think tough XC with some demanding descents that might favour a bit of suspension travel.”
The event offers a tour of the finest trails that the Dyfi Forest has to offer. For the riders who make it to our route checkpoint by the cut off time*, there is a little extra on offer, the option to ride a bonus loop that extends the course to 60km and adds a further 200m of descending (and climbing).
HQ is located in the town of Machynlleth and the event takes place the same weekend as the town’s popular comedy festival. The event offers camping and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with event HQ located in the Big Top tent where you will find a cafe & bar, hot food and evening entertainment. Families are welcome and well behaved dogs (DOGS MUST REMAIN ON LEAD AT ALL TIMES) and on Saturday kids activities can be found in the main event field.
