Two engineers and a scientist have decided that from now on we should have a ladies’ ride every Saturday . You cannot argue with so many technical experts. Our 9 o’clock start resulted in cycling in dense fog until we reached Standish. Slowly but surely the fog cleared and the sun came out. It must have been the ‘Bring your horse into the forest’ day. Standish was full of horses. We were even asked not to go too wild or to do crazy tricks since the horses would get spooked. We did our usual loop through Standish avoiding the deepest mud and then played a little bit at the bomb holes. It was lovely to be out and about in the sunshine and we had a lot of fun. We finished the ride with tea and biscuits on my patio. Next Saturday it will be Selsley for the ladies.
