No time for perfect prose, so:
Friday: Ae Line.
Saturday: Glentress morning and afternoon, stopping at the cafe in between.
Sunday: Innerleithen Red in the morning, followed by more Glentress in the afternoon.
Anyone who’s been on a Bigfoot roadtrip will be familiar with a certain Bigfooter’s tales of adventure. Once again he pulled another one out of the sack – this time involving naked hot tub trespassing. Legend.
Monday most of us headed south to spend the day in the rain on the M6, before reaching Gloucester in a small monsoon. Dan x2 and Simon headed west for Kirroughtree – see Dan’s separate post.
A fun weekend, thanks Jason for organising and transporting and thanks Ian/Janet for the use of your van.

Nice one Mike. some great pictures and a nice write up. big thanks to Jason for organising the trip had a brilliant time.
Hey Mike, sweet pictures, proof that it is sometimes sunny in Scotland! Out of interest, what camera were you using this weekend?
Cheers jas for organising, janet and Ian for the van usage and Mike for the photos. Yet again an awsome trip, shredding the trails. Must admit it’s nice to be using shower gel again though π
Nice photos Mike, and a big thanks to Jason for organizing the trip and for showing how it’s done.
I really like the photo “top of Innerleithen red just before rain hit”, that’s a beauty. Others are great too π
Great reminder, really enjoyed the trip and 3 days of perfect conditions on the trails! Looks like the lads who rode on Monday chose wisely…..
Thanks for organising and great company.
Thanks everyone for a great weekend, and thanks to Jason for organising another cracker! Mike, the pics look great by the way π
Nice work all, particularly on the facial expressions, Jasons’ are my favourite currently but it’s a close run thing π
Andrew, I was letting out some big a5s whoops π
7 Stanes, never never never never never never ever stops disappointing. Top riding weekend crew.
I thought that might have been the case π
One day I’ll have a bike for this sort of thing, although I think I’d still end up with more than ‘7 stains’ in my shorts π
@Peter: Canon S100 – limiting like all compacts, but teeny-tiny.
@ Andrew: 7Stanes = bottom pains for some people with chafing shorts after several days riding, so I gather. No names, no pack drill. π
Looks like you guys had fun times. Sorry to have missed it this year. What is it with ‘that bigfooter’ and nakedness…??
Great pics mike π
Yes Mike, I used up all my lip cream but I didn’t use it on my lips!… π
Looking back at the stats quite a bit was ridden: 173km and 4544m total ascent! The biggest ride was on Saturday where I did Glentress Black and bits of blue and finished off with red: 63.8km with 2099m ascent. Glentress was sooooo good.
Thanks to Jason for organising and to everyone who waited for me up the climbs!
It was a great trip with lovely weather.
BTW, my new dropper seatpost has arrived!
When I was growing up there was a series of films called Confessions of a taxi driver or Confessions of a window cleaner etc. The young actor would be going about his working day but would always end up with a half naked housewife and get up to “sexy time” with the ladies. Confessions of the Anchorman would make a fresh series give that boy the gopro, Tim your a legend, loving your work Mashy
Still getting Glentress flash backs. Soooo good.
