6.15pm start from here http://binged.it/Kl923a which is just below painswick beacon on the “Quarry road” and then we can head into Cranham as the torch is coming along the A46 from stroud to Shurdington….see link for start point.
I do appreciate this is not going to be suitable for everyone…it could be just one of those days…. If Cheltenham riders are going to struggle to get to Painswick still start from the George

The olympic torch is passing through shurdington road, brockworth and cheltenham at about 5.30. Is it worth meeting at the Royal William instead? A lot of traffic may head the “back way” through Birdlip at the time we are meeting…..

Yes, driving could be a pain. If I’m free early enough I’ll try to bike it to avoid the agro. Luckily weather is great so shouldn’t be an inconvenience.
