The pounding torrents of the river Severn are almost audible as we guide you through the Cotswolds to encounter Sportive and Off-road riding at its best.
Route description:
We head to the pretty Gloucestershire market town of Wooton-under-Edge where the routes offer a mixture of valley pathways, and short steep climbs. This cycling is on great bridleways and stretches of single-track.
Circumnavigating the pretty Cotswold town of Wooton-under-Edge todays routes offer a mixture of valleys and short, steep climbs. The riding is mainly on bridleways with a fantastic 2km section of singletrack to enjoy on the longer routes. The sandstone buildings of the local villages give this area a unique feel.
Route Options
Short – 15 miles
Medium – 25 miles
Long – 30 miles
I might do this one as a warm-up for the HOTS
Quite fancy this as not doing the HONC or the HOTS this year. Maybe the long route…
And compared to the other events it’s a bargain at only £12.50
Did this last year…in the pissing rain…good route but not a walk in the park…highly recommend to all. Planning to do it again this year…but pay on the dayNo from me, going to do a local XC ride instead as need some money for Sunday Newport session
