Another great Afan ride, proposed and led by Jase! Weather was a little drizzly during the drive, but all arrived in good time and we had a dry day. We even got free energy bars at the car park from some bloke with a posh accent! Hmm, looking back maybe not so wise to accept, but it was free, and it was food! Well, it obviously wasn’t rat poison, cause we’re still here. Anyway, a really good four hour ride, with plenty of ups, and plenty of fab downs. There seem to be a lot of pirates around, as there were lots of skull and cross bones signs plastered everywhere. We did see some backpackers walking on one of the descents, and just had time to shout “riders” before flying past them. If they were pirates, we didn’t give them a chance. Here’s a picture of us stopping for breath and calories, look at them lovely hills and trees…
And here’s the route and ride stats:
What a great day out. See you soon on the trails…

AWESOME!
Thanks for a great ride guys. I think my stupid grin at the end of each downhill section summed it up!
So that must be four club trips to Afan in the last year or so, all dry? Can’t be the same Wales we all know and love. Nicely nicely Vincent Pricely
